I have been in the industry 41 years and have owned Tripzter Travel and Capri Travel for 18 years. I am well known in the industry from my time with British Airways, working for them in Sri Lanka, Oman, Bahrain and Canada. I have a degree from Simon Fraser in Business/Liberal Arts, a diploma in Flight Planning and several certificates and training in Sales, Flight Operations and Customer Service. I have had the good fortune of travelling widely – over 20 countries in 6 continents (just Antarctica left in terms of continents!), actually living and working in five countries. I enjoy travelling, meeting different people, rugby, tennis and shooting guns – targets only, not hunting! I am also involved in other business interests outside travel.

Tania Hoogveld

Position At Capri: Manager
Years in the Industry: 35+

I have always had a love of travel; it was my dream job growing up and I am still in the industry! I have been a licensed travel counsellor at Capri Travel for over 35 years, including managing the office for the past 28 years.

I enjoy working with corporate clients as well as leisure clients and groups. Whether it be cruising, adventure travel, safaris, cycling tours through Europe, or luxury travel, I am happy to help and advise you with first hand experiences!

I have travelled extensively throughout the world, visiting countless countries throughout all seven continents – yes, including Antarctica. I have also been fortunate to be selected to host many cruises groups from the USA and Canada on some exciting itineraries, including a world cruise.

However, more than anything I am always excited and interested in providing the best advice and customer experience for all our clients, whatever their travel needs are.

I look forward to the personal connection; whether it be by phone, email or in person in our downtown Kelowna office.

As a young teenager growing up in Kelowna I always knew I wanted to be in the TRAVEL INDUSTRY. Well, since 1986, 36 years later I am PROUD to say I am still fully involved and working in the business as a Senior Travel Consultant.

There are many titles I go by besides Consultant – Travel Agent/Travel Management Advisor/Travel Experience Expert and some call me a Travel Guru! Whatever the title I pride myself in being there for you before, during and after your trip. Many scenarios can take place when travelling.

Having my expertise and support there for you is priceless.

Besides the obvious love of travel, I have trained in Kung Fu for 23+ years, have taught fitness kickboxing classes for 20+ years. love outdoor activities, cats, Seinfeld, ELVIS (yes, a die hard fan since I can remember) and of course my FAMILY. I am the mom of 2 great humans and have been married over 30+ years.

I am the newest Agent here at Capri Travel. I joined the Travel Industry and Capri Travel in 2017 and have not looked back; I wish I had made the move many years earlier.

While my main area is selling to Leisure clients, I do have some Corporate accounts as well. I enjoy helping both sets of clients find what they are looking for.

I very much enjoy the process of assisting clients in finding their perfect vacation, and all the planning that goes along with it.

My love of travel came to me later in life, so I have not travelled as extensively as my cohorts, but I am passionate about what I do and where I have been.

I look forward to the next phone call to see where that person is dreaming of travelling to. I hope I can help make your next vacation the one you have been dreaming of.

They say: “Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. I proudly can say this sentence is about me.

I grew up dreaming of traveling and this dream came true in 2005 when I got hired as a flight attendant at LOT Polish Airlines. For the next 14 years, I was exploring the world of aviation, traveling extensively, meeting people in the industry and learning something new every day. Somewhere along the way I also had a chance to work for Polish Airlines at the international airport in Warsaw. After moving to Canada, I was working for WestJet at the airport in Kelowna and for Marriott Hotels in West Kelowna.

I joined Capri Travel in 2023 and I couldn’t be happier! I work with a very experienced team now and we exchange our knowledge. When not in the office, I travel locally with my husband and our furry baby Golden Retriever named Leon.
